Where is Valentine's Point?

Mooch and Frank got together on Valentine's Day and nailed stripers all day long and nicknamed the location Valentine's Point.  Good luck getting them to give it up though, many have tried and I don't think any have succeeded, at least not on the board. :smt008  :smt010

the DV stripers appear to be much skinnier than mendo stripers.  wonder why?  It's not like there's not enough forage, considering the amount of DFG and EBMUD trout plants.  Or am I just generalizing?

I'm no expert but I remember SCWA saying that a lot of the stripers @ Mendi feed on the striper plants. So maybe the reason why the Mendo stripers are fatter is because they're cannibals!! :smt093

I think I remember Sean saying something about that too, but I've got to believe that a striper would eat a planter trout, no?  A planter trout would be about the same size as a planter striper.

It sounds kind of like The Highlander. Stripers can only grow stronger by vanquishing other stripers! And everybody knows there can only be one Highlander LOL!
Thanks for the report+pics guys!

Hey Mooch, what gear do you carry in your orange dry box?  Is it your tackle box?

let me remark again... DAMN!!!!!!!  the water is higher than Redman at the Source Awards.

The shots of Hetch and the launch ramp really bring it home.  It bet the narrows aren't so narrow anymore. :smt004

Safety gear.....flare gun with 3 shells, small first aid kit, duct tape, a few energy bars, space blanket and a self powered flash light...and sometimes......a can of  :spam1: :smt003

I also store my FF head and my VHF radio in the dry box when I'm launching and landing on big surf.

As far as tackle...I don't carry any at all....why do you think they call me the mooch  :smt001 :smt002
