It was great to get out with you guys.  My first Hali, hope for a bigger one next time!   That was after I made my sacrifice to the Sea Gods, dropping a full tackle box to the bottom.  Grrr...

My girlfriend LOVED the fish dinner last night!  Breaded in chipotle breadcrumbs, an fried in bacon grease.  Mmmmmm..

Looking forward to next time!  A little sore from the first time out in a while, ready for more!  Hope Allen is still here, he was gone when we got back to the wall after an hour or so in the channel.

Let's go again soon!

Rick

Right on, Frank!  Were you fan casting the fishtrap, or just bouncing it along with the drift?

Fan casting let it hit bottom very slow reel and bendo.

For those who want to know the ID of the Fish Trap that I used it is a 4" with pink lines on the belly. Drop to bottom then slowly reel in jigging as you go along. Works well on stripers if you get it in moving water about a 3' drop then let it run the current keeping line tight is usually hit on the drop or when reeling in slowly. All during fan casting.

Duane and Ricks were caught on live shinners. Mine caught at the ebb tide fan casting.
