I had about 3 hours to kill this morning so I ran down to Coral street for a quick fix.  I put in the water at about 9:30, easy launch no wind and hardly any swell.  Went outside for about an hour only had a few small taps couldn't find anything so I moved into the kelp at 65ft.  first drop got a big hit and pulled in a skinny 26" ling.  I could have lifted into the boat but I had to try out my new gaff.  called it quits at 11:30, met E2g on the beach unloading a nice stringer of fish.  Thanks for the help carrying my yak up.  I will be back out next Friday when I will have more than a couple hours. Probably Stillwater.

Way to go salvaging a legal ling on a short day, naerob.  Great report and pics.   :smt001

Gaffs are good, but a big net is better, IMO.
