I am not sure of the weather but I have not been out in a long while.  Is anyone up for some dabs out of Monterey this weekend?  Sat or Sun, I need to coordinate with my wife as she has gotten used to Saturday morning bike rides while the fishing season is closed.

How's it going Ettiene?  I would be there if I didn't have other plans already.  The weekend is supposed to be great weather from what I have heard.  I was wanting to paddle down to Pebble Beach and get my ugly mug on TV, but perhaps the world isn't ready for that yet.

Etienne,

Can't do it this weekend but I might be able to get out next weekend.  If so, you can ride the marauder.

I am interested but already scheduled too. I'd like to try this next weekend or the weekend after depending on the weather.

Etienne,

Sorry for the late reply but I can make it on Sunday.  If you're still going I can meet you, just let me know the place and the time.  You can take my 160i for test paddle as well.

Etienne and Gary

Good luck if you make it out. I am tied up for a couple of weeks with family and WAF stuff. I am going to work on the Trident this weekend and organize the garage. I really miss the ocean and hanging out with my salt water friends. Hope to get out soon.

Cool guys and thanks for the kind words and offers for test drives.  With regard to my quest for a new boat, I am going to test Aaron's Marauder today and if the shoe fits................It is in great shape and well rigged already and a great price.  Sorry Sean, time and distance = $ and this one is soo much easier for me to get my hands on and he price is right if it fits.  I still want to get up to Mendo one day and do a two for with me fishing and the wife mountain biking.  Though I have yet to paddle the T160 I need to get this purchase done as I have been working on it for about a year and my priority is for the feel of the seat and comfort during long outings right now.  I am not bringing any fishing gear for the test so may still have sufficient WAF for sand dabs on Sunday Gary.  PM me and we can get it going if you are interested.  If it does not work out this weekend, I am there next week hopefully with my new ride.

With the great weather I was looking forward to getting out, its been a while since I've paddled anywhere.  I'm a sand dab newbie so this will be an adventure.  It turns out my wife likes dabs so there's some WAF points to be earned.

Scott, if we have a good day I may swing by to drop some off.  Plus I still have the t-shirt you left in my truck when we last carpooled.

Gary and I are going to launch at MBK at a leisurely 8AM.  That is even late enough for Pat to join us before we are on the water.  Paddle out to the red can and load up on dabs.  Company welcome.

I bought Aaron's Marauder today after a mellow paddle at Moss and Elkhorn.  I need to get it rigged but I think I can do dabs w/o a fish finder and too much gear.

Good luck guys and I may see you at MBK Monterey.I'll be there doing closed deck rescue and doubles surf practice.I can't make this session, but I'm interested in how you do. I just saw a cook making sanddabs...tasty morsels.
