I have the xml rod and its awesome. Great action and castability.  Used it to catch some bonito off Catalina island.

Funny you should mention the XML rods, because I was actually looking at them last night! I'm considering buying the 7' heavy spinning model for local steelhead and big lure bassin.

I should also mention that those Quantum Great White rods are very nice for only $40 bucks. I have a spinning model for perch and a casting model for bass.
