I finally have some free time this Sun/Mon and am thinking I'll paddle lex
I wanted to make sure it had water!

Anyone been there recently? Is it ok?

-I want to go there before they drain it in June

Thanks

It came up 16' with the last storm but it is still very low (down 46' from the spillway). The water is like choco-milk when I went past it last Sunday.

Thanks Compa!

Hmm.. I can't seem to picture the layout (it's been a while)

How would you say it compared to... oh, this past summer?
I was out there in June I think. It was low then but I still had a nice paddle

Thanks

It's pretty much at the same level as mid September. The road in the middle of the lake partially exposed. The Island in front of the picnic area still exposed.
This was taken end of October. It is about 7' above this level.

THANKS for the pic, Compa!

Wow, that's really low

Hmm, maybe I'll just paddle Del Valle or somewhere else.

I haven't been down to South bay much lately. Any good places that aren't low right now?

Thanks again

Anderson is a south bay lake with plenty of water to paddle. Here's a free launch site:

Calero should have some water too.

Cool, thanks Sin Coast.  Yeah I think I'll probably hit Calero or Anderson

Monday says 30% chance of rain, so Sunday it is!

I've been wanting to paddle lexington just to see it while it is low. seems like it would make it more interesting.

J, that is a great idea.  I might do it myself.  There isn't a better way to see structure that is normally under water.  Not to mention maybe collect a little hardware that others may have lost. :smt003
