thinking about giving try Mon late morning (can't get there until around 10am) to sunset.  the tide doesn't seem too exciting, but a good news about the 2nd rods stamp, so wanna give it try.  the wind should be calm too.  kinda scary doing myself, so any takers? :smt002

2nd rod stamp is for inland waters, which means anything east of the Carquinez Bridge (which includes Monte's).

Good luck guys!

If I understand the second rod stamp correctly, it's would be any body of water not leading to the ocean.  No rivers leading to the ocean.  Including the bays and sloughs.  Lakes only.  I guess I should look it up.

OK. I looked it up here.

http://www.dfg.ca.gov/licensing/fishing/fishdescrip.html

Says this:
"Allows an angler to fish with two rods or lines in inland waters, except for waters in which only artificial lures or barbless hooks may be used."

I need a lawyer to decifer the regs again this year!   ARRRGHHHH!!!

They changed from "lake, reservoir, & Colorado river district" to "inland waters" this year.
& inland waters are discribed in Section 1.53 which states "Inland waters are all the fresh, brackish and inland saline waters of the state,  including lagoons and tidewaters upstream from the mouths of coastal rivers and streams. Inland waters exclude the waters of San Francisco and San Pablo bays downstream from Carquinez Bridge, the tidal portions of rivers and streams flowing into San Francisco and San Pablo Bays,  and the waters of Elkhorn Slough, west of Elkhorn Road between Castroville and Watsonville."

Naoaki-

If Melissa is feeling better, I may be able to get out there with you. Tides don't look too good at all though. But, hey... you never know until you get your bait in the water.

We're targeting Sturgeon, but because of 2nd rods stamp, I can fish stripers or catfish too! so I guess anything goes (no LMB that area tho)...

Good luck & stay safe there!
