Let me know when you get up here. I'll check out Camp Richardson and see if we can launch there. The restaraunt is still open and the ramp is wide open. I walk the pooch there and see no one around. It is very shallow there but the closest launch to deep water. I'll look for other spots as well.  Someone call Zilla as he does not respond to the board as far as I can tell.

How about some detailed input on what to wear??  I'm thinking:

Poly-long underwear (top and bottom)
Fleece Pants & top
Waders (gore-tex socks?)
Top-notch paddling jacket
WARM Gloves (see recent thread on this subject)
WARM Cap (most body head lost through head)

Anything else?  Of course, it could just as easily be 50deg as it could be 30, which could affect this list.

Fleece Beanie
fleece nose and mouth cover ( name?)
poly long underwear
fleece top (x 2)
fleece pants (x 2)
jacket
life vest ( these really help keep you warm too)
paddling jacket ( has anyone seen an insulated paddling jack?)
paddling gloves and handwamers
I will drop some of those warmer packets in to my jacket or waders if I feel I am getting too cold.

I wear ski clothing to the lake. If the conditions are good I pull waders over the ski clothes and fish. If conditions are bad I head up to the slopes and ski. I have even fished in the morning and went skiing in the afternoon. And of course there are the casinos.
