Joe and I launched at Yorty Creek and paddled to Cherry Creek arm. Joe hooked and landed 2 nice LL steelies. I was his private photographer today. This was his 1st time for LL steelies and what a job he did.
We were in the very back of the arm in about 5' of water for the 1st fish then midway for he second one.
Both fish caught on plugs 100' behind the boat.

I havent fished for ll steelies for 5 years , But when I was doing it on a regular basis we would see bald eagles fishing with us on Cherry Creek Arm. When we entered that area there was a pair of them in a tree. I wonder if that was the same pair we saw back then.

Great weather no wind just a banner day at the lake!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

Beautiful fish! That lake is gorgeous, fish or no, but it is a definite plus to catch 'em. Thanks for the report!

I forgot to give thanks to Capt. Matt for the 12 10 lake Sonoma fish report. It was his report that motivated me to get a trip together  on 12 13 . Hope we can hook up some time.

I think the plug was a prism sided rebel sorry no pic. I was using something similar but it did not have the prism JUJU going on. I was able to get the prism thing going on the way home at wally world.
I also might add there is a great taco shop on the north end of Cloverdale . It is called El Girasela across the street from the High School. I recommend the chili verde burrito. Its not your usual rice and beans and very little meat job. Its got it going on hard!

Thanks for the info on the PLUG. I'm pretty dialed in with the Rapala so I'm going to start experimenting with some different "stuff." My ultimate goal is to catch one on the fly rod, I have tried several times for nada. If the water stays clear I will be up there next week.
