I plan to take my T140 on its maiden voyage tomorrow. Still not sure where though...maybe Stillwater Cove, maybe Carmel River SB, maybe Coral st, maybe San Carlos beach...?
Let me know if you would like to join. I'll try to pick a destination soon, and will post when I've decided.
If Carmel River SB is launchable, it would be my preferred location.

Meeting up in the south end of the parking lot @ Monastery beach at 7:30 tomorrow morning.

Might launch there. But hoping it looks mellow enough to venture further south. If its rough, will try for Carmel River SB.

Hey Sin Coast

Good to hear that you try to get everyone together!!! I WILL make it happen, sooner
or later. I can share this, 3ish I checked the river mouth. North end was best shot, but
still, a timing thing. Winds very calm. Pretty good shore pound. Swell 2 to 5. I passed. Worked north, Carmel Point/Carmel Beach, out. Launched from Stillwater @ 3:45. Lite
winds, water maybe 10ft. visibility. tide seemed up. Smaller shore pound to the left of
pier. Nobody on the water. Just outside the two rocks and a little south, 1 26" Ling on
whole 'chovy. 1st drop, about 30ft down. I'm used to Lings hitting on the drop. Almost
always... This one had been soaking 5 mins. Switched to favorite grubbs, 2 Chinas and
1 Yellow. Lots of moving to find fish. No complaints... Sounds like conditions are better
tomorrow. Good luck.

We ended up launching at San Carlos beach because Carmel was gnarly. Worst rockfishing ever! And the red tide was thick. The water was a disgusting brown. I don't even know if its worth posting a Report...it was that bad.

Hey PK and Bkayaking -
Thanks for the update. That helped me to make a go-nogo decision. I was thinking of StillWater cove, now decided to pass.

Thanks for the report PK. My wife and I were planning to go out in the morning but not anymore. How did your new yak handle?
