There’s a course two blocks from my house on city/county property .

There’s a trail I walk my dog on . The only time it’s empty is bad weather,or dark.

Some of those guys are money throwing those things

I used to ride my bicycle (mostly MTB and gravel) a lot, but then I found kayak fishing, haha. I should ride more often, especially when I get the green light for activities but the weather isn't cooperating for kayaking. Any East Bay folks down to ride some time? I know Lime Ridge, Joaquin Miller, Briones, and Crockett pretty well.

I do throw a disc once in a while, but I'm pretty horrible at it, haha.

I love to cook, especially fish tacos with fresh ling cod. I'm a sucker for slow cooked pork, and love a good piece of beef too.

Once upon a time I made silver jewelry, mostly bezel set semi-precious stones in fine silver. Nothing too crazy fancy or valuable, but nice sentimental pieces.

I also tinker on our cars - all the maintenance and repairs get done here in my garage. I'd love a proper project car, but limited on space and funds for that kind of endeavor, so for now I wait.  Once the kids are out of the house, and our living situation is determined, I'm gonna end up with a  ~'66 Galaxie. And probably some sort of 4-wheeler, likely a Suzuki Samurai (need to sort out how to carry a kayak on one of those though, haha).

Working on our house now - the second house that we've done a live-in remodel with. Pretty much just down to the kitchen and some details in the bathrooms. This spring we refreshed the back yard - replaced the fences, built a big pergola, expanded the flower beds, and planted a bunch of new plants. Cost me a lot of fishing days, but worth the effort with the nice weather we've had recently - really enjoying the updated space.

I used to live in Concord.  >Lime ridge was my thing.  I would MTB it.  I always stopped and let joggers pass me.

then I started jogging a loop.  MTBikers were total Dicks to me.  I dont recall a single biker stopping for me as I trudged along.

what a great trail...I had a coyote jog with me once.  but the people are kinda entitled.  hahhaha..

I like this one!!  I asked my wife just last night, "what do you think about me trying to remodel our kitchen DIY?"

silence.

Yes, some of the MTB guys are jerks, for sure. I mostly ride my gravel bike there, but occasionally
will do a couple hot laps on the trail bike. I try to be courteous to other trail users, and will approach with kindness first. Some of those trails are narrow, so I give plenty of room, especially when they have kids/dogs/canes. My goal is to be a good ambassador for the sport - I know way too many hikers and horse people that complain about MTB riders.

I don't really do the run thing - had some hard years of football, baseball, and snowboarding on my knees and ankles when I was young. I make it about a mile these days, and then gotta pull over and rest the joints. Even the pedal kayak sometimes makes my knees grumpy.

My in laws are moving less than 10 minutes away, literally next week. Oof. Not sure I could live in the same house for more than a weekend - no language barrier to save me, haha.

We are looking at our kitchen remodel probably next year, hopefully in the spring. Gonna be a big job, and will split some of the work with a contractor friend, but most of it will be me. Still not 100% on the design/layout, it's a strange space to fix.
