Curious if you have any updates to this topic.  :smt004

I made the first test sample but didn't get an opportunity to test it.
Too busy working and not enough time for fishing.  I need to retire soon.

No worries, I hope retirement comes soon for ya Paul!  I was just thinking about doing this to my smaller frabill slow troll bucket, thinking that it being on it's side would hold larger bait better then in the vertical position.  I was curious if you planed to remove the weight at the bottom, or just leave it.

I plan to keep the weight unless it gives me a problem.
My next halibut trip is July 8th and hope to test it.
One issue I am still debating is if I need to bend up the front of the board to decrease water resistance.

I got to use it yesterday and am generally very happy with it.
The only minor issue was that it did not contain enough water; I mounted the board too low.
Water will come only to the bottom of the board when floating.
I will make another one with a board mounted at the mid-level.

I use the frabil and keep it in the water while I'm drifting or moving slow (TONS of drag). If I'm in transport and need to make tracks I pick it up and store it aft. I've rigged a long air hose taped to it's rope with an air stone inside, and an air bubbler clipped onto the back of my seat. Keeps the bait frisky when I'm moving. Used that system all last year's works great.  I'd take a picture, but it's dumping outside!

That air hose is slick idea. Thanks for posting
