Is that normal for the scupper cut outs to be so different?

Yup - the new line of Ocean Kayaks - Big Game, Trident and even the newer P15's have that odd looking scupper hole for transduser mounting purposes...unfortunately, it's geared more for the Humminbird transduces only.....(not that I don't like 'em  :smt002)
