Hi All,

I'm heading out tomorrow with a friend or two, company always welcome.  Being in a Hobie I can act as the shark distractant.  :smt002

We're thinking about trying Andrew Molera, but I'm not sure if that's a good choice given the swell forecast. (? - opinions welcome)  If Molera isn't a good choice we'll try Coral Street or maybe Stillwater, final decision to be made later tonight.

Etienne - where are you heading tomorrow?

Pete

I am up for it Pete.  We bailed on AM yesterday and it sounded like the wind was OK south of Pt Sur.  Go figure it was slow of off Pt Pinos and Pt. Joe yesterday with some exciting launch and landing conditions.  Let me know where and when and I will join you.  We could meet somewhere and talk about where to go or just meet there.  I can do anything Lime Kiln or north but need to prepare a bit more if it is AM, LK or Garapata.

Opted for Coral Street tomorrow due to poor reports from Molera today.  If Coral Street doesn't look good we'll check out MBK.  Driving from SJ, so we'll get there around 7:30 or so.  Ch 69 if anyone wants to join!

Good luck to you and wait for your report. If not far, I would join. A little too much driving for me to justify another trip.

My buddy Jeff left Asilomar/Pt Pinos to launch from the Coastguard jetty and caught over 20 fish in 2 hours. This was after catching one fish in the first spot....so it seems like the PG/Asilomar area was just really slow. So maybe Coral St isn't the best option. But who knows.
Good luck,
PK

Gah...I hate late-night decisions...  :smt002  I'll bounce it off my fishing buddies in the am and see what they think.  I've neber launched from the CG jeyyt, but I assume it's where did our orientation dives way back when.  I'll find somewhere to fish either way!  :smt004

PK where did they fish?  Along Cannery row?  I could launch there, San Carlos Beach Park, it is usually overun with Divers but if you are early you will beat them.  7:30 maybe not.  I may do that and head out to the mile bouy for some dabs as well.  I will monitor ch 69 and should launch before that say 6:30 Coast Guard Jetty/San Carlos Beach or Coral St.  The Whaling Souls were the bomb.  I am loading up and will check for any changes before I leave.

I am heading to San Carlos Beach launch right now.  I met a local guy named Dave at the reggae show who has a hobie and will be joining somewhere some time.  He will not be as early as me but may be there about the same time as you.  My plan is to hit a few close spots say 30 minutes, head to the red can and fish dabs for about 1 hour.  I will start to listen to ch 69 for you.  Go where the fish lead me after that hope a ling hits one of my dabs or eat them myself.

Jeff launched at the CG jetty/ SC beach around 3:30 and returned at 5:30. Parking was not a problem because everybody was gone by then. He said he fished out near the red bouy.
Good luck!
