I drove through the campground on my lunch break and there are still about 10 sites open. Couldn't find the park attendant so I called their number to ask if he thought it would fill up by tonight (hasn't called me back yet). If he says there is a good chance it'll fill up...then I will go back after work and reserve a spot for NCKA.

That was the first time I've been there. Not the most rustic campground but each site has a picnic table and space for a few tents. All the firepits had signs prohibiting fires...booo! It ain't camping w/out a fire!
Its really more like a nice park with some campsites. There's a huge green field for soccer or stickball or frisbee. And nice bathrooms (might have seen showers too). Cool hiking trails.
On the downside, its not very close to any stores.
