Hey guys, John Z from Alameda here. Been on this site for awhile, but inactive last few years with work, kids and life intervening.

I've had an older orange Hobie Revolution 13 the past 5 years or so that's pretty safely and efficiently set up, I'm sure some of you have seen me around Alameda where I fish when I can. I've also met a few of you through here, and over on Coastside which I've been part of forever. I've fished all my life and have had numerous power boats over the last 30 years.  I'm an active and long term triathlete, and spend 2-3 days a week swimming in the bay, so super cold water comfortable.

I recently retired and am getting more into fishing again.  Summer goal is to cartop the Hobie again and hit some new spots (TI, SC, HMB, Bolinas, etc), so I'd love to connect with some of you in those adventures.

Look forward to seeing you and meeting you.  Cheers!

Welcome.

I'm also fishing an older Revo, just graduated from cartopping to truck bedding. Had some trouble with denting while transporting cartop, but nothing permenant as long as care is taken. My revo is set up very similarly to yours.

Many fishermen spend their lives chasing fish, only to realize that it was themselves that they were chasing.

The "Salty" in my handle refers to my attitude, not the waters I fish

One only needs two tools in life: WD-40 to make things go, and Duct tape to make them stop.
