It was light to moderate wind all day but lighter as the day went on and kind of lumpy but easy launch and landing and a few fish scattered in to make it interesting.  I caught two Gopher RF, one Greenling, one Olive RF, one Kelp RF, one China RF, one Blue RF, one Jack Smelt, and about 5 big Mackerels up to about 12 inches.  All fish were released mostly unharmed.  I did drag a couple of the Macks around to see what would bite but nothing did.  One of them swam away after its tow.  All fish were caught on Shrimp fly or Mackerel Mega Bait.  No fish on swimbaits today.  I have a photo of the Mackerel, they were really big.  I had a double of them once and they really fooled me to think I had something good.  The DFG came over and checked me out as I was drifting back.  I had a live blue on my stringer that I just got and was gong to keep if I caught another and I snagged the Jack Smelt just as he pulled up.  I was wondering who the hell is this jackass in the inflatable heading right for me  :smt003.  Anyway, he was cool just wanted to see my license and catch.  We chatted a little about worms in olive rockfish and how blues are good eating and no worms.  I let the Jack go while we talked and let the blue go afterwards.  All in all a nice day on the water.  The fog cleared at the end and I had warm weather to clean my gear.

Sounds like you had a much better day than I. Had to bail early du to seasickness.
I know, it was totally flat, but I didn't sleep much last night. My 6-week-old is finally sleeping in 4 hour chunks throughout the night. I bailed after catching a few random RF. All caught on the 5/0 Pline Farralon Feathers ShrimpFly above my 6 Scampi" on a 4oz leadhead. It was really slow for Jeff andf I. Slowest day I've had in 2 years. Granted, I only fished from 7:30 to 9AM. Showed up with a headache and started feeling quesy after an hour. That sucked.
Talked to Ben for a few minutes after packing up. That was cool. I'm looking forward to the MBK tourney on the 26th!
