When you have 10 posts you'll be able to see the Members Only Fishing Reports page.

Still though, many haven't named those places over the years due to sensitivity/local spot burning consideration.

The Bean can be a very tough launch/landing, and more shark attacks have come on kayaks there than anywhere else, I think.

For sharky training come on up to Shelter Cove to go out with me.   :smt001

I'm down.  Will you be offering training in the spring when the season starts back up?

The best way to stay safe is to find dependable an hopefully experienced fishing buddies.
One way to determine experience is by the sea life listed under their handle. Sealions are a good bet. This is related to number of posts. Number of posts is not a guarantee. Look at their date of registration. A Sealion who registered in 2018/2019 and has 5,000 posts maybe someone who prefers to yak versus learning how to kayak fish.

Yeah.  This is the primary reason why I joined this site.  I wouldn't mind tagging along with more experienced fisherman, since I just got my kayak and don't really have any salt water experience yet.  Even then, when people are going out, do they make a post and invite other people, or are events listed on the calendar?  I'm still exploring the site.

In the meantime, I live in Alameda, so I'm getting a little experience launching around Alameda Rock Wall

I should post more hookup invites but over time I end up calling a crew and going.  If you live in Alameda you would post your own hookup date time and launch and see who bites.  If you do not get a response you have to decide if you are going by yourself or not.  Either way, you would post up a report of slay or no slay, both are valuable.  Again, overtime, you'll learn stuff and others will join you if their schedules work and location and good intel or exploring kind of adventure.  General rule as you know, if you don't have bait in da wattah, your not gonna catch a fish.  Post up some pics and others will gain a confidence in your commitment and before you know it you'll find a fishing buddy or 3...personally I'm waiting for the seas to calm down and drop some pots hopefully with a rockfish bonus, or a good rain so we can get all sturgeony...hope this helps, I almost went out of Oyster Point recently and decided not to but that would of warranted a hookup because some people might be jonesin' to get out.  I know I am I just want there to be fish where I'm going.  It's kind of a transitional time of year for species... :smt006
“I’m going fishing.”  They said, “we will go with you.”
