wow!!

that rear handle is such a major WIN over the one on my Compass.  that alone is enough to make me regret not buying the Outback.  but in all honesty, i didnt think i would enjoy kayak fishing as much as i do.  i could upgrade one day and keep my Compass as the "loaner".  haha.  shhhhh..the wife is coming!  act normal.

After months of debating on which kayak to get, and then waiting about a month for the delivery... It's finally here!!  My Hobie outback.  I cannot wait to take it out on some water.  Planning to start in some lakes and small water first, and get used to the kayak as well as practicing to get back in once I've fallen off.  The closest body of water to me is Calero reservoir, so I will plan on hitting that up first and doing some bass fishing.  Anyone here ever go there?  I think I have just about everything I need but if you can add to my list on anything missing I would appreciate it! Looking at the hook 4 triple shot maybe for fish finder?  Recommendations on fish finders would be great too
PFD
VHF
Mirror
Light pole with flag
Net
Bilge pump
Whistle
Knife
Paddle

i went out with a lot less.  i started off in lakes.  smaller lakes.  i got a PFD, set of wheels, made some leashes for my pedal drive just in case i fumbled and dropped it overboard..and that is about it.  i had a great knife, a whistle and the boat came with the paddle.

i figured just start somewhere and figure out what i need as i go.  i do love the minimalist boat (right now) in the lakes.   i only go with two rods and a small pack with terminal tackle and lures, etc.

I bought two stainless clips very similar to what you find on a dog leash.  Then used plain old paracord.

Very nice! Congrats!
Now to be a little more helpful I have 2 Lowrence 4hdi FF’s they work fine for me.
Simultaneously!?
I was used to 3” then 4” & 5”, now I got 7” on my 2020 Outback.
I would say it’s nice to have 5” or above when you use multi-display (I use all four on the screen all the time).
