Hello All,

Over the many years of kayak fishing I still see a ton of guys going out and being rescued or being attacked on other groups and forums for asking what others think are dumb questions. I do't see it in this group and fully support NCKA. I tell everyone I meet in the kayak fishing world to join. Since there is so many new and very experienced kayak fisherman in NCKA i would like you all to join a facebook group I created called "Kayak Fishing For Beginners" https://www.facebook.com/groups/kayakfishingforbeginners/

It is a safe place where you experienced guys can help out the new guys. We do giveaways and raffles and support NCKA, and other kayak fishing communities. I just want to make sure people are first and foremost safe and getting the right information rather than just getting the run around. No spot burning but you can at least point some of these newer fisherman into the right direction and help them to avoid any sticky situations with safety or regulations.

If this post is against the rules feel free to remove. I just feel that this group is more important now more than ever with the amount of people out kayaking and the rise in rescues over the years.

Thanks
Get out there and Fish!

Gonna be the same questions over and over again with no one searching or reading the stickies. Mods do a great job hiding these things from us here.....

How so?

And, personally, I don't think it's a bad thing for people to ask the same questions, especially when it comes to safety-related and equipment-related topics. Things change, and even when things don't change, it doesn't hurt to get another perspective, or to just get an important topic in front of people more often. If anyone doesn't want to respond to a topic, there is no obligation to do so...

+1

Digging thru thousands of old posts looking for your subject question is a daunting task even with the best cataloging/search function.

Ask that question for sure!
