Hey all. I don't post much but all this bolinas talk got me to bite. I grew up in Stinson beach and went to school in bolinas. I learned to swim in those waters. I have never launched my kayak from bolinas out of respect for the locals. If you have never had the privilege to live in a tight knit community like that it is hard to understand. I relate it to the way Hawaiians don't like Howie's surfing or fishing there waters. Parking is very slim in town . It doesn't take many cars to over run the main streets that people call home. It would be like your neighbors having a party every weekend and every parking spot around your block and in front of your house  is taken. Locals love the land and fought fiercely over the decades to keep it a sleepy beach town.  Just my 2 cents. Like Penny's have any value$ these days. PEACE Teddy Williams.

Thanks for that point of view.  I’m sure EVERYONE could understand that, youtuber or not.

Slashing tires would definitely suck.
If it’s a parking issue, then what if the city passes a time restriction law.  Like 2 hour only parking unless you have a residential sticker.  That’ll pretty much nix all the kayakers from going there.

Bolinas is my closest launch. I’ve been there a lot the last couple years. Kayakers do not represent a heavy user group for the beach and parking. I would say that surfers and beach goers far out number kayakers on a regular basis. I’ll be going there tomorrow late morning with the kids to surf perch and boogie board and parking will be impacted, but not from kayakers. I guarantee you we are not the only group posting about Bolinas - the days of it being a sleepy town where the residents cut down street signs to keep things secret are long in the past im afraid.

Hope the Coast Guard prosecutes that guy.
I was a Coast Guard Boarding Officer for 5 years, that is the definition of Gross Negligence.
Throw the book at him, and from the looks of his POS boat he cant afford the fines.
Stay safe all.
