decided to brave the rough conditions and try my surf skills :smt003

coralcalm

not wide open but a good steady bite of nice medium blues, one 28 inch ling and a size 7 scuba fin.  Had a flashback to some bad hollywood movies, but luckily the fin was not attached to anything.

Had a PBer seem to follow me for a while, turned out to be a friend of Aliens, a nice guy name Robert.  So I have to ask, is there anyone in Monterey you dont know Alien?  :smt003

E2g,

Robert is a good friend of mine. We been fishing Monterey Bay since we were little elementry kids using drop lines. He knows the Bay like the back of his hand. We pretty much know most of the locals around the area. :smt002

Good job on the ling> my biggest so far is the one 26"

Good job E2G,
Looks like pretty nice launch conditions. What did you get the ling on?
Thanks for the report and info,
PK

Ling was on a whole squid on a 4 oz leadhead jig.  shredded my plastic earlier in a snag and was too lazy to turn around and get a new one, so just pinned on the squid

Nice work.  I love the easy launch and landing there plus steady fish!
