How about a goodwill 3$ fishing pole.  Or, clip a flag to one of your rods in its vertical holder.

I may start doing this because I know we are hard to see sometimes...  I'm thinking power boats, not sculls.  Those guys are idiots.

Saw this in a previous thread on 'pooping'. I guess I'll install it so I'm facing the stern.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

I was drifting by the opening at ARW when I saw a scull coming from the launch direction. Kept watch and noticed he never looked where he was headed. When he got close enough I yelled at him (on your right). He then started yelling at me for being in his way -- I just yelled at him that he was the one going backwards. He shut up. I was ready to grab his oar and let him overturn. I also noticed he was not wearing a PFD.

Awesome.

I see these guys every morning I hit MLK shoreline for an exercise paddle. I always give them a lot of room; at least at MLK, it's usually teams that have a power boating coach with a megaphone that is looking where they're going, but still, I don't understand the allure of paddling backwards.

jmairey was an OG.  He paddled a scupper pro and always used the eyeglass/rear view mirrors.  Good guy good fisherman, sorta dropped out I think he got more into cycling.

The rowing clubs at the port fully expect you to move if they are coming. They are sure not going to.
