Spent 3 or 4 hours fishing for bass, tried spinner baits, plastic worms and stick baits to no avail. It's a beautiful  place but so much boat traffic! I saw a few people catch a few trout and talked to a guy who has a picture of an 8 pounder he caught there right in his boat.---DS

I have been skunked at Loch Lomond a couple times too. Especially when targetting bass....even though the structure looks sooo good! The trout are usually much easier to find.
Thanks for the report,
PK

That lake is a great place to paddle - love the scenery...but the fishing is tough (for me at least). But you can always count on the bluegills to bite :smt002

Too bad you were skunked, but starting the day paddling Loch Lomond isn't too shabby! Have you ever fished the lake in the late afternoon? I wouldn't mind giving that a try sometime plus I think parking is free after 4 PM.

Bass fishing on LL can be challenging however the trout can be much easier although they tend to be small. PM me next time you go out and I can show you my favorite spots and tactics if you are interested and I am available.
