Rockfishing line

30# Power Pro is my favorite, with a 25LB top shot of Berkley Big Game.

50lb braid to a Duo Snap. From there I use a crane swivel for connection to a 24-36" 30lb leader. At the end of the leader I use another Duo Snap for connection to jig heads and irons. I do it this way so I can just change out pre tied leaders and not worry about knots on the water unless absolutely necessary. If i get hung up on the bottom a little effort and the leader breaks and I just hook on another rig.

40-60lb braid tied to duo snap or tied directly to jig or rig of choice.  I don't like mono leaders when rockfishing.  Straight braid so I feel everything.

30# Power Pro. Connected to 30# blue label seaguar with a uni to uni knot. Like Sonny said the braid is a distinct advantage over straight mono in more ways than one. Sometimes it can be the difference between getting rocked by a large lingcod. When fishing swimbaits it also allows you to feel each bump while the jig is bouncing from rock to rock. The minimized line stretch then allows a quicker reaction to jump the jig to the next rock.
