Wife told me to get out of the house and get in the water or she was going to trade me in:)  Suicide Run.  Get a little grouchy when I have not been fishing for a while.  My self and Big Jim went in right after sunrise.  Viz was pretty good, 7-10 feet, swell was very small.   Lots of small legal sized snails around, no fat tires to be found.  Settled for a couple flat tires and went to Bodega for breakfast.  Not much kelp yet but it was sure great to get back in the water.  Was in Mexico last month, and it was great, but the water was nothing compared to what we have here.  I saw some RF, but not many.  Big Jim saw more, but not many worth sticking.  JR

You got abalone up in the Lost Coast in the morning and then went to Bodega Bay for breakfast?   I'm a little confused.. please tell me there is a little "bodega" restaurant or shop near the Lost Coast that serves breakfast, because Bodega Bay is about 4 hours from the Lost Coast.

Good job on the abs.

Good job on the abs!
So you weren't at the lost coast? I'm confused too.

Thanks for the report,

Went for some sea escargot myself this morning. Tried a new spot for me, ususal spot for my buddy. The vis was crappy, about 4' in this spot.  :smt011 After we went up further north just to snoop around ,and the vis was at least double.  :smt012 I was hoping to prick a couple rockies, but with the vis so poor where we were, we just got the snails and got out. Ocean was pretty calm, too bad it's going to swell up for the weekend salmon opener. Today would have been a great day for that! Oh, got 3 decent abs, but no dinner plates...
