Nice!

I've never seen a crappie from there before.

Man! Nice fish guys. I'm going to have to put in some hours. I was thinking about going "camping" there and throwing big old rat or baby duck top waters in there all night. That's a good summertime Berryessa tactic too.

Never fished Spring Lake myself but got this tip from a relatively reliable old timer.

Find the main channel with your electronics and work a large rainbow trout colored Rapala/Rebel (I imagine a similarly patterned swimbait would work, too) right down the middle of that channel. He said that he'd even troll the channel in his rowboat with the Rapala working from one end of the lake to the other. He did mention the weeds and reminded me to frequently reel in to check for vegetation when trolling.  Worth a try, I suppose.

As others have said, the west side is the best side from what I understand.

I Just fished here for the first time last week. I fished for about 4hours. The first 2 hours was slow. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I went through a variety of lures before reverting back to the classic senko rigged wacky. I Ended up with 3 fish. The first one was small less than a pound but gave me some positive reinforcement that the senko was the Ticket. The next two were in the 2-3 pound range. These fish were caught in the south end of the lake and were pinned deep in the brush.

I marked a lot of fish suspended in the water column and trolled a crank bait with no success.

The duck pond at luchesi park in Petaluma has fish too. I had about 15 minutes to kill. Got a little one first cast.
