Fished at Loch Lomond reservoir in my yak on Sunday from 0700 - 1300, no bites.

Skunk for everyone I spoke with.

The water has cleared up and there where fish showing deep on the finder but no action.

There is starting to be some algal balls floating in the water, so this could get to be a problem also.

The next plant isn't going to happen for a couple of weeks so I'd look at Coyote or Lexington as an alternative.

Apart from not catching anything, the reservoir was beautiful and the weather was great.

Any pics of the reservoir?  I know I can most likely find some by doing a search but you know how it is  :smt003

I've never been there before but on thursday when I was at rack and road buying my truck racks the guy at the desk was telling me it's a pretty nice place.  I'll have to head out there soon.

Good effort by the way, I'm sure you'll have better luck next time.  What kind of a setup were you fishing with?

I do not have any pix even though I've gone there probably 4 - 6 times a year for the last 5 years or so.

I usually do pretty well.

The trolling setup that seems to work best is a Seps flasher (silver), a snubber, 2-3 ft of leader (go a bit heavy so it doesn't get all kinked up, maybe 15 lb test), and the smallest "spin and glow" you can get.  The orange and/or red work best.

Troll at the deep end of the reservoir.

Here's a picture from Loch Lomond. Beautiful little lake.
