Transducer Arm?

I wavered on the transducer arm or shoot through decision for way too long. I went with shoot through using Lexel to adhere to my hull. Water temp takes awhile to equilibrate to get accurate readings, but otherwise it works perfectly. I briefly used the wet mount with plumbers putty method. Didn't really like messing with adding water and adjusting the transducer each time before launch. Definitely worked though, and it gave me a non-permanent way of evaluating performance of the shoot-through method.

Scupper hole mount is a other opton as well. Even if there isn't a scupper kit designed for your yak, there are some quick DIY mods found on this site that work perfectly.

Why not just mount it inside the hull and shoot through the hull? You'll be fine if you do it right and it's really simple not to mention you don't have to hassle with the arm or transducer being in the way... Ever!
