I'm looking for an extra transducer to put on my aluminum boat so I can swap the unit between the yak and boat. I'm assuming one that'll fit the 5 or 7 will also work on the 4? Drop me a note if you got an extra lying around.

Derrick,
it's an elite 4 chirp, so that's one of the newer ones as far as I know. Don't know if it requires a different ducer to send the "chirp" signals out. Anyone know if they use the same ducer for both?

Glenn, another option is to buy an Elite 4x CHIRP unit or an Elite 4x HDI unit with the transducer for like $150. Because it costs about the same for the transducer by itself. Then you'd also have a backup headunit too (albiet without gps unless you get the regular Elite 4 CHIRP/HDI unit for another 50 bucks).
