I thought the majority of gun owners fall into 2 categories: for protection or for fun. Does that sound right?
Some people want to be able to protect themselves from bad guys. And other people are into collecting, hunting, shooting sports, etc.

All in good fun, dude.

But have you seen what happens to gun sales after each shooting? There's definitely truth in what I said.

Alex, you're back to "your truths" again.  Perhaps there is a bump in gun sales because people are worried about further restrictions on their constitutional rights.  You'll see a similar bump in gun sales any time more gun control laws are passed.

We now get to register "assault" weapons because of whast happened in San Diego. We will be so much better off now that all shootings of that type will only be done with registered weapons. It will be such a comfort to the families. I can hear them now, "Thank God all the guns used were registered!" Politicians think they're helping, or so they say.

The beauty of America is that you don't have to eat meat, drink beer, own a gun, or speak English well - or even at all - in order to live here or to be American. That's what I love about freedom. It gives me and everyone the right to make choices and vote and work to change things we don't believe in.

Yeah this.

"Love it or leave it" is so wrongheaded.  That entire line of thinking should be taken out back and shot.

Of course, you are free to think that. Everyone is entitled to his own stupid opinion.  Freedom.  FREEDOM!

Don't register them.  Make them "featureless", or get a Patriot Mag Release from Bullet Button.com, and keep them out of the NEW CA definition of assault weapon.
