Is anyone launching out of China Camp on Sunday?

Black Point is cool...but I hate paddling against the current both ways.

Hope you can make it, Troy. It's been awhile!

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

You won't be fighting the tide...  if you can get there around seven.  I figure seven on the water, twenty to thirty minute paddle, fish for four(?) hours... then you can paddle back at the end of the incoming high, or during slack tide (12:58pm high at the mouth of the Petaluma River).  I thought about going in at China Camp or Bullhead, but I'd like to hang out with the guys and fish a new section of the bay.  That little channel of Erik's looks sweet... and I've been meaning to fish that area for a couple of years now.

Anyway, does anyone know if you can park close to that funky bait shop there at the edge of the marina?  Can you launch a kayak there?  I've only launched power boats off the boat ramp on the other side of the river.

p.s. I'm in for Sunday... bring the smoker  :smt001

Hey Mike,

I called the bait shop.  She said parking is no problem but she wasn't sure about launching the kayaks.  I'll be at the shop at around 6:30 to check it out... I'm sure it'll work.  If not, we can  always use the boat launch!

Pumping shrimp was a blast!  Mikes slurp gun worked perfectly, and is over 10 years old, Im making one of those. Here it is, at Bodega Bay.
