I've been reading the "Waders vs. wading pants" thread.

Anyone know where I can try on some Kokotat dry suits/pants.

I live in North Santa Cruz and would be willing to drive over the hill.

I'm a bit nervous to make a large ($) purchase on the Internet without a little Tactile R&D

Thanks,
Johnny

I'll have to go by there again.  I wasn't able to spend too much time I was there.

HI johnny AB
I  live in Santa Cruz and I just bought a Kokotat super nova angler suit on line.  I stopped in at the Kayak Connection a couple of weeks ago and they did not have any dry suits in stock.  I ordered a large, I weigh 160 lbs., 5'10' and size 12 shoe.  The fit was a little large but OK.  I have not used the suit yet only tried it on.  I'm not sure what your size is but your welcome to try it on for size.  PM me if you like

Don't forget, when you try it on, that you will be sitting down most of the time you wear it.  If it fits just right while standing, it will probably be too tight when seated, especially when trying to reach to the forward hatch.

I'm a hair under 6'2", and 180#, but I need the XL to wear it in Kayak positions.
Fish laugh when I paddle by.  Sometimes they laugh so hard they fall on my hook.

What's your height & weight. Based on those, I can tell you exactly what size Kokatat pants or suit you should get.

+1

I'm about the same as you and the XL fits nice. It looks pretty goofy when I'm standing, but fits great in kayaking position.

I'm 6-1 190....
34 waist. Would I need the XL Kokatat pants?
Or could I get large?

Thanks in advance.
Matt

Sizing info is here:

https://kokatat.com/support/sizing

My shoe size was near the upper limits, and they put on the "large" sized drysocks instead of the default "medium" at no cost (just took a while longer to get it).
