Right out of the hrbor with member Mitch (Can't find his handle name).  From Modesto.  1st time on the Ocean Kayak.  2d drop, he bangs a ling.  Just legal.  Woo Hoo.

the rest of the day was a hard slog made asier by glassy conditions low wind, and marine mammal show all around.  Grey whales, Humpbacks, dolphins.  Tons of sardines breaking the surface.

Fished my honey triangle mile buoy to sailing buoy just couldn't rustle up a bite.  A couple more rockfish was it.  Still, an awesome day with a boon companion!!! Let's do it again Mitch, and soon.

Yes.  Out of Capitola last weekend, I was hitting small pods of decent sized 'dines, more than the macks (both kinds) that I was also catching.

Looks like nice conditions. Definitely slow in SC to start the season. I blame El Nino  :smt005
