Well, after breaking my phenix X12 crankbait rod, sent it in for wty.... They called me the first time and asked that ai pay the $70.00 to get it replaced... After disagreeing with them and asking to talk to a manager, I had to call back 2 weeks later and ask why I had not heard from them. They said ??? what ??? Then said they would give me a call when they found it and reviewed it.... They called this morning and told me a new rod was on the way... Pays to ask Questions :smt005 Also to ask for a manager :smt001 then, wait it out till it's unreasonable that they should have called back. Then call again and Ask WTH!?!?!? Got it free, shipped to the house. They stood behind the warranty. Just had to work at it a bit....  :smt007
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

G Loomis  has replaced 3 rods for me free one i broke in my tailgate my fault. Another I broke on boat and one two piece that  the light end blew out of my pickup bed no charge no postage no question. They are pricey but well worth the cost.

That's really cool they got you a new rod and not cool it took a lot of effort to get it replaced, but the right thing was done. I've been getting into Phenix rods lately because of their good reputation, and glade to know they stand by their products.

Are G Loomis rods warranted against operator error?

thats good to know. Great job on being persistent and getting it covered!!

knock on wood, when that day comes with my phenix, they will cover it as well. I understand the opps warrenty but when the tip breaks from fishing, its not acceptable!

Well, they still technically ARE...but I believe you have to pay a flat fee of $100 or $125 depending on model nowadays (if it didn't break due to factory defect).

HA!!! So I broke a fishing pole when I caught a 17" striper last month. It is warranted so I contacted them. Was told to cut up my rod and send it in and after evaluating it, told me it was NOT workmanship problem and send 70.00 and I would get a new rod. (keep in mind rod retails @ $200.00+) I said to them I believed it was workmanship as it broke while fishing. Was told a manager would call. 2 weeks later no call. I called again and was told they would review the claim and call me back. 2 days later I got the call and they would send a new rod...... So I get home today and see A rod tube!!!! Oh Boy IT'S here! Noticed that the rod tube looked less than the 7' 6" length of the sent rod.... Hmmmm!?!?! Taped out at 7'..... Hmmmm????? Open the tube and there is my brand new with tags and plastic pole with NO TIP AND IT'S NOT IN TUBE EITHER! Whua? Did someone there retaliate cause I wouldn't just bend over and Pay!?!?! $200.00 pole sent broken on purpose!?!?!?1 Who would do that!?!? Going to call them tomorrow and be reasonable at first. then all holy hell if not rushed another pole ASAP! Will post results tomorrow....
