Perch fishing tide intel?

When is the best time to fish for them? High tide or low tide? I'm itching to go fishing thinking I might hit surf this weekend as I am bored as hell. I used to fish them a lot at Ocean Beach, look like nothing left there. I just never paid attention to the tides. Since Im going a bit further I want to just make sure I time it right. Thanks for any intel

I used to be big on high and low. Now i just go when i have time. I look for deep pockets and currents. Suprised on how close to shore some are. Caught a 13 incher so close to shore today. I practically took a few steps back and he was out of the water. Good luck. P.s. there are no more fish out there. Dont bother

Ditto. Just go when you can.

The basic rule is one hour before and one hour after high tide...but on the beaches I fish up here it doesn't really seem to matter.

thanks guys, I remember fishing for them years back before getting into kayaking and never matters what time I go as long as there sunlight, I've been going to ocean beach with no success. I'm gonna try a different spot this weekend. THANK YOU!!
