Sounds a whole lot better than being in the office!

The hybrid king-kokes, yeah I saw that article too and shared it with my fisheries program manager at work....man that's a tough one to swallow as the only kings that have been planted (and it's been a few years) where SUPPOSED to be sterile.  Then again just like in Jurassic Park, nature will find a way.  : )  Hopefully I can tie into one of these critters and bring it into work for an analysis, and then into the smoker.  :smt001

Tough bite today, think we got there too late, boat coming in when we headed out did well near buoys early morning, wind was up, some white caps on main part of lake. I only had two hits near buoy, I was jigging, fairly certain I pulled it right out of the soft mouth of the kokanee both times. The guy who fished for bass all day got three spot near pilings using a drop shot in about 35' of water, he said one was 15" or so.

Next trip is Shasta, maybe next week in between rain storms.

Jesse are you still fishing Centimudi?

We did get to see an eagle fishing today, he did much better then I did.
Just following shad. They dispersed a few weeks ago at centimudi, so we checked out JV a couple weeks ago and found shad and stacked fish. Been getting catfish, crappie, trout as well as numbers of big bass all on the spoon. It's fun when your stringers beat the lead limit for the fall classic on the same day as the tourney...I guess.
