Gluing a piece of foam to the bottom of the bucket also works

+1.  I was hoping I could reinforce the bucket around the "U" shape portion of the gear bucket to keep it from collapsing.  It's annoying when the bucket drops

when too much weight (a few mooching rigs and lead heads) is put into the bucket it slips from the ridge and  drops to the floor of my Outback.

Interesting.. I haven't even launched for my maiden voyage yet, and this has me thinking.  Great thread.
