Nice job on the pair, many a yakfisher has been lured to Almanor's bounty by Chris's posts only to be humbled by the fickle nature of that lake!  :smt001
When it's on, it's a thing of dreams.  When it's off, it can be one of the most frustrating days on the water, particularly when you can actually see the fish on the screen, see your jig bouncing in front of them, all for naught.

Don't forget your hat/blonde locks next time....the fish dig it!

I was up there last year when this pic was taken.  At one point there were six of us all surrounding Clayman and he continued to catch all the fish.  He probably caught as many fish as the rest of us combined.  He loves Lake Almanor and Lake Almanor loves him!

You mean the gang-bang at the log jam?  :smt003  I think there were about 10 of us out there though all sitting around watching Chris do his thing.
Man that sounds terrible.
I just came across my memory card with all the pics from that trip, sorry for the threadjack/photo dump.  :smt001

So true, so true. It can be finess fishing at it's finest. And even when you bring all the right stuff, it comes down to how you apply it... Chris is a master at his craft for sure.

Oh jeez, y'all sure know how to make a man blush  :smt005.  It's only because I literally grew up fishing this lake.  I first wet a line in Almanor when I was 9 or 10 years old.  So just like anyone else with their 'home water', years upon years of fishing the same water body taught me a thing or two about what these fish want.  There are a lot of little nuances to working jigs here that I can't really explain in words...I've done it so many times that it comes natural.  It's a challenging lake, but the rewards can be great when you score!
