Wow, nice goat!  How deep was he?  How did you get the jaws so clean?  Boil them?

I've only ever shot two male sheep so far...

Both have been down around 40/45 feet deep:

I cooked the head in foil and ate the meat off the jaws.

Sorry in advance for the threadjack Jim, but I gotta see what people's opinion is on this: It seems that you divers shoot them pretty consistently from Carmel to Big Sur, so they are obviously there in decent numbers. I have yet to hear of someone catching one hook and line in that area. What gives??!! I've gone as far as to bring food grade scallops to a hookup and used them for bait all day hoping for a sheep...didn't catch a sheep but caught some serious flack from the scummies in the process :smt005 Has anyone caught one in this area? I want one :smt007

I dunno Paul...very weird IMO...I've seen more sheep than calicos up here but have seen a lot more people catch calicos on hook and line than sheep?

I'll coordinate with you on an above/below water sheep hunt soon!!  :smt003

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Hell yeah Bro! Nothing better than a massive human fishfinder...Pretty sure you'd just blast it and then put it on my hook. Gonna look mighty suspicious with a massive hole through its dome :smt044
