Coyote Lake is the same way now: you're allowed to waterski, windsurf, and jetski...but no swimming allowed LOL!

Back (15 years ago) when I would ski Coyote almost weekly, their rangers would hide up among st the trees & yell at you via the loudspeaker if you took too long preparing yourself to get back up again on the skis because there was "no swimming" in the lake.  Same held true if you even came close to beaching the boat on the other side of the lake, were traveling in the wrong direction & they would often be out on the shoreline with a radar gun clocking the speed.  I was good with the speed because my ski boat at the time would top out at 2mph under the limit so wide open I was safe!  :smt003  Hope they aren't as Nazzi-like there anymore.

I remember  - in the 90's - you would see some really nice trout going up the creek to spawn.  Good Crappie fishing too. Might be worthwhile if you are looking for Crappie for AOTY

I went to high school right up the street in 90-91. Used to fish the levee after school with the old timers. Fell on my ass and straight into the drink one afternoon. Good times.

I remember in the early 70's Stevens Creek was a popular swimming area. Complete with life guards on the dam.

There was some really nice crappie fishing about a year ago.  Haven't been back since it nearly emptied out though (only water near the dam left)
