I must say that Diawa is a pretty darn nice feeling reel.        Think it's this model if anyone wants to check one out: CW354DLX

Wait, did you mean to say Okuma? When I search that model number, it shows the lo-pro Okuma cold water linecounter, like this..and I've been curious about that reel because never seen it in person.

Sorry, yes it is Okuma, that's the one.  I wanted to see the digital line counter reel too, and was looking it up when I posted this.  They didn't have it at CBT though...

I have a sealine counter but the model with two handels.  The line counter gave up on me after 6 years of use.  Which model you end up getting make sure you get the one with a single/power handle.

That's better than the cabelas model I read about. The line counter broke after 3 uses.
I had one of those cabalas. The counter broke after 2 trips.

I have had a daiwa lc27 for over 15 years . it is one of
My favorite go to reels. How ever mine says made in Japan on it ( not Malaysia). With carbon drag and power handle it is very smooth. Keep it heavily greased and it will keep hualing fish.

I too have a seriously old (20 years?) LC27. Has always been a joy to fish. Never any issues. Pretty much only use it for salmon. And it's caught a few.

I bought the Okuma and will be trying it out at GS9.  Lemme know if you want to play with it.

I found a sealine lc27 at the new melones. Took it home washed it off and it works great. The rod it was on was rotten and garbage. Out of over a dozen reels I've found this past year the lc is the only one that held up under water.

I love walking remote parts of lakes when the water is low.  NEVER know what you will find!  Lead downrigger balls is my fav. to find.  I have a pair of Oakley sunglasses at the bottom of Coyote lake in case someone comes across them  :smt005

My very first fishing pole is at the bottom of Lake Don Pedro somewhere.  WISH I had that one still since it was a gift from someone special to me back when I was ~5.
