It's official! April 15 ain't only for taxes this year!

Red Abalone

The recreational fishery for red abalone (Haliotis rufescens) is closed from December 1, 2014 through March 31, 2015 north of the mouth of San Francisco Bay (closed year-round south of the mouth of San Francisco Bay). Red abalone report cards are required to be returned to CDFW or submitted online by January 31, 2015.

Does this mean it's open in July?
With only 3 weeks until the opener; inquiring minds want to know.

I think it says 4/15 but the link Jim gave shows 4/1. I believe it is 4/15 but I am not sure. Better check it out
