Finally Fish and Game has released the opening for rockfishing on Sonoma Coast! ALready booked my anchor bay campground!

The recreational fishery for lingcod (Ophiodon elongatus) is open year-round to divers2 and shore-based anglers. The fishery is closed to boat-based anglers as of January 1, 2015 and will reopen on April 15, 2015 (see important NOTE at the end of this section). Lingcod may only be taken or possessed3 in waters less than 240 feet (40 fathoms) deep. The daily bag and possession limit is 3 fish, with a minimum size limit of 22 inches total length.

I think so.

Did they also adjust the depth?  "240 feet (40 fathoms)" used to be 120 ft. Thats awesome large coppers been waiting cant wait to hit 150ft, I know I will bring descenders for the Canaries..

There are no changes in the depth limit. The depth limit for San Francisco Management Area is still 180 feet (30 fathoms), and that for Central Management Area is still 240 feet (40 fathoms).

I think it says 4/15 but the link Jim gave shows 4/1. I believe it is 4/15 but I am not sure. Better check it out
