Santa Cruz Clam Chowder festival

Just a heads up to anyone that enjoys a good chowder. Tomorrow is the 34th Santa Cruz Clam Chowder Cook Off.  There's 80 teams this year.  This is our 5th year competing and were 2 time defending Peoples Choice Champion.   We are the only team that digs our own clams from up at Lawson's landing. Its really a great family affair.

Tasting starts at 1:00pm but with the crowd you should plan on getting there closer to noon.

If you come on down stop by our booth ( 4 men and a clam) and give ours a try..

Take me to your spot and I will help you dig up the clams.

There is a very small stretch of land/water that is clamable.  Its a muddy mess but there are some good size clams there right in your own back yard.......

Damn, Sara is working tomorrow!    Your guys Chowder was the bomb last two years I went!  Hope you kick ass again tomorrow!  If I do go, you will for sure be my first spot to taste at, and you can have all my tickets 

Darn, going to miss this one again. I wanted to check out your chowder and meet the geo-master with the long arms.

Weve been digging there since we were kids. Try going across the bridge in the sandy areas. Doesn't disappoint.
