With no luck of finding info under the search tab, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this unit.  In particular the side imaging.  How does it par up with the old side imaging models?

It's practically a brand new model so I don't think you'll find much here on it.  I'm looking at the Helix 5 DI unit myself to go on a new Pro Angler.  The most/best info I found was on BassBoatCentral.com under the Humminbird tab in the forum.  They had a few review type posts.  It's basically the same dependable technology that Humminbird has had in a new widescreen package with better resolution.

They are at a fantastic price point too!!!

I am curious if the new shaped head units fit inside the OK Trident Sonar Shield. Because it looks like they will not fit.
