Could there be an "AOTY Instant Winner" rule for anyone who catches a new world record?  :smt003

I believe there have been a few CA or possible IGFA record fish entered in AOTY/DOTY over the years.

But speaking of lake trout, I found this interesting resource on the USGS site that shows where lake trout have been planted throughout the state...and it indicates they were successfully planted & 'established' in the SF Bay delta?? Strange.

That's a cool site.  I agree, very strange that macks were "established" in the CA Delta...seems like one of the least hospitable places for them in the state.  Also interesting to see that they were once stocked in Clear Lake back in 1923.  That lake must've been a completely different world back then compared to what it is today.

The site also claims that as of 2000, there was an "established" mackinaw population in Lake Davis.  That's a new one on me!
