Was an awesome day. weather and wind cooperated. D.F.W rolled up on us east of the pinnacles. Were stone faced as usual. But once they found that i had all safety gear and my gps, they eased up. Were joking about were the heck we came from in the aluminum. :smt001. they mentioned that while traveling to where we were at, all they could see was are heads.  :smt044. Were actually pretty good guys for a change.

My friend did leave the attachment for my portable fish finder at stillwater beach :smt011. Thats part of fishing. If anyone found it please let me know.

I've seen a guy launch there a number of times in an aluminum boat BEAT TO HELL.  It says 'Captain Lingcod' on the back of it,  Looks like it is held together with duct tape & chunks of white foam.

I know you have built in flotation but you should still wear the pfd :-) And get a flag for that bathtub!

Sincerely,

Jim

First time I saw him was my very first outing at SWS.  It was breaking at Ghost Tree & we had to take the long way out & to the right.  I saw his "tin can" of a boat.  Patched inside & out with duct tape, JB Weld & what might have been a mixture of spray foam & bondo.  It looked like it had taken on the sea, been thrown against the rocks and returned to fight another day.  There were chunks of white foam duct taped under and along side the bench seat for added "flotation".  He packed this thing down the stairs on his back!  A REAL OG fisherman!  Caught him later just feet from breaking waves, casting to the rocks.  He's a LEGEND!
