I know this has been discussed before, but here goes. I'm sick of paddling that sluggish Malibu 2. It gets crowded even without a few salmon in it.
What's a good alternative? I'm looking at the M2 XL Angler and the Zest. The M2 XL can convert to a solo while the Zest cannot. That's a strike against the Zest, but at 16 feet I'm guessing it's fast and roomy enough that I won't be wishing we were in singles.

Any thoughts?
Andrew

The Tandem Island is on my list for a solo/tandem, but not until I retire.

Andrew

I love the M2XL and have owned 2 of them. The Tandem Island is a whole different beast. I can lend you my 2XL in mid september for a month or 2. It's a great dog boat in case you want to take Rosie.
