Buddy of mine caught a Cabazon with a 3" abalone in it.......fried it up, said it was the best ab he ever had.

That eel looks too far gone even for bait. But reminds me of the octopus the last ling I caught was puking up, wished I had saved them, would have made great bait even after being  frozen. :smt023

Right, why waste an abalone?

Was already doomed.

If it looks good eat it!  :smt001

Hey, was that a legal sized ab?  :smt044  I wonder what the deal is with that?  Calling Hojoman.  I would have ate it too.

you know now that i think about it...in this one area where I catch cabezon the most around monterey ...there is also a lot of small ab shells in the sand and rocks ,clean and empty and not broken....I wonder if cabby cough em up after they digest the meat and this is why I see more shells in this one area?
We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”
